SkipTown Sends a Lucky Teacher on a Vacation! And the Winner is…

SkipTown, along with the support of several generous donors, organized the “Teachers Deserve a Getaway Contest“ to give teachers the chance win a vacation, because let’s face it, after a crazy school year like this one, the last thing a teacher should have to do is plan their vacation! Teacher nominations were received from all over the country (amazing!!!).
After reading through lots of wonderful, heartfelt teacher nominations, the judges cast their votes (talk about a tough decision!). Dun, dun, dun…and Ann was chosen!! She is a rock star, second grade teacher from Wood Elementary that deserves to ‘skip town’. She and one lucky travel companion will receive a travel voucher for her choice of a SkipTown Plane Trip or SkipTown Road Trip.

“This teacher is truly a rockstar to our community! She has spent her 30+ year career at Wood Elementary and has been a favorite of colleagues, students, and administrators. Her former students now have children attending school and repeatedly request they have Mrs Strong. She always goes above and beyond to reach her students even attending their sporting events on the weekend. This year she made online learning fun by taking the students on virtual field trips, taking them into her garden and sending them seeds to teach them about planting and taking care of plants! Being able to send her to ‘skip town’ would be a well deserved gift to her. ”
